How can I take part in the “Free Staycation for 2” promotion with Shell Energy?

To take part in the promotion you need to apply for an energy subscription with Shell Energy between the qualifying dates and pass the 14 day cooling off period. Your PIN codes will then be dispatched by email from Shell Energy within 7 days of your qualifying date.

How many lastminute.com PIN codes am I entitled to receive?
Every customer entering the XXX promotion is entitled to receive 1 lastminute.com PIN code. The PIN codes will be delivered by email, which you will need to use at registration to receive the voucher code to book your free Staycation for 2 people. The lastminute.com PIN codes cannot be combined.

What is a lastminute.com PIN code?
A lastminute.com PIN code is a 13 alphanumeric code delivered to you by email, which contains the instructions to register and it allows you to request a valid voucher code to get a free Staycation package for two people in the UK from available destinations on the dedicated website. The maximum commercial value of the available packages to be booked using the voucher code for two people is £200.

How can I request my Staycation Voucher code?
Check the email provided to you by Shell Energy to reveal the PIN code. Go to shellenergy.lastminute.com website and register by entering the PIN code and required information. Check your inbox and you’ll find an email with the valid Voucher code to get a free Staycation package for the UK.

When will I be able to register the PIN code?
Registration will be open from midnight on 01/06/2021 until 11:59 p.m. on 30/10/2021 by visiting the shellenergy.lastminute.com website.

I cannot register the PIN code, what can I do?
  • Check that the PIN code you entered consists of 13 alphanumeric characters;
  • Check that there are no blank spaces before or after the PIN code;
  • Please make sure you don’t confuse the letter “O” with the number “0”;
  • Check that you have not already registered it. Check your inbox and junk folder to see if you have received the email with the voucher code;
  • Check that the deadline for registration has not passed;
  • Check that you have correctly entered all the information requested in the form.

I have more than one PIN code. Can I request a single Voucher code for more than 2 people?
No, you can only enter one PIN code each time.

The Voucher code: what is it, where do I find it and how do I use it?
The Voucher code is a 16-digit code and is sent to the email address you provided during registration. You will find the instructions to use it in the confirmation email from lastminute.com.

I confirmed the registration but I haven’t received the Voucher code confirmation email. What can I do?
  • Remember to check your inbox at the email address you used during registration;
  • Check your junk mail folder or make sure your inbox is not full;
  • Try to register your PIN code again, if you receive an error message it means you have already registered it;
  • Contact us at promotion-en@lastminute.com stating your registration code, the email address used and a telephone number. One of our agents will check the status of your registration and help you solve the problem.

What is the expiry date of the Voucher code?
The Voucher code can be used until 31/01/2022 to book your Staycation package. The actual departure date may be later, based on the available offers on the dedicated website. Check the actual expiry date on the booking code delivery email from lastminute.com.

I have two PIN codes, can I request a single Voucher code for four people?
No, each PIN code allows only one registration to receive a free Staycation Voucher code for 2 people. You can register two PIN codes only separately, confirming 2 different registrations.

Can I book an hotel stay for a minor with my Voucher code?

It is not possible to book an hotel stay for a minor or a guest below the age of 18. Minors can only be registered as guests with an adult.

How are possible cancellations of my hotel stay handled? Can I request a cancellation?
Hotel stays booked through the promotional Voucher code cannot be cancelled. If the stay is cancelled by the accommodation provider, you will receive a new booking code with which to choose a new free Staycation package with the same conditions.

Can I make changes to the hotel stay I booked with my promotional Voucher code? How can I do that?
Yes, you can make changes to the booking if it is allowed by the terms and conditions of the accomodation supplier. The cost of the supplier change is charged to you. The changes allowed are: change of guests name, change of room and boarding type, change of date. To check the feasibility of the desired change contact  the line 0800 056 7400 (24/7 Freephone number).

I cannot find available hotel stays that fit with my travel needs, what can I do?
The hotel stays you can get for free, thanks to your promotional Voucher code, are all available on the dedicated website https://freestaycation.lastminute.com. It is not possible to book other offers. Hotels availability changes constantly and is continuously updated according to the offers provided by the different providers. Try again in the next few days to find the hotels that suits you or try to change the destination and the travel dates selected during the search phase. To have the most accomodation to choose from, try to book your hotel stay as soon as possible.

Which Staycation packages can I book with my Voucher code?
Using the 16-digits Voucher code you can book your free Staycation packages, with taxes included, for 2 guests to any of the UK cities available. You cannot book an international destination, outside the UK. The available Staycation packages are those on the dedicated booking site and are constantly changing. Check out the available Staycation packages for two people at freestaycation.lastminute.com.

Which Staycation packages are available on the dedicated booking site?
Staycation packages available on the dedicated booking site have a maximum commercial value of £200 for two people. The hotel stays will be the same, in terms of type of offer, availability, services, costs and charges applied, as those normally offered in the same period by accessing the www.lastminute.com site directly, not re-directed from other sites, (subject to any temporary technical errors or specific financial terms and conditions applicable to promotions, such as specific payment methods) or by initiatives other than the Promotion and applied directly by the lastminute.com site or by other partner sites for all users.

After I chose the hotel I wanted, I received an error on page that it was no longer possible to book the selected hotel stay, what happened?
The hotel stays can no longer be booked using the Voucher code, the rooms are sold out or the maximum commercial value of the hotel selected is higher than the maximum commercial value of the Voucher code. Don't worry, search for a new hotel stay among all those available.

I am entering the Voucher code in the booking page but I can’t book the hotel stay
  • Check that you are on the correct booking site: freestaycation.lastminute.com
  • Check that the booking code entered is made up of 16 digits;
  • Check that you have clicked on the “Apply” button;
  • Check the expiry date of the booking code on the delivery email;
  • Check that there are no blank spaces before or after the booking code;
  • Check that you are using the email address associated with the booking code, you will find it in the delivery email.

Can the Voucher code be transferred, sold or converted?
It is possible to transfer the lastminute.com Voucher code received by Shell Energy to other people, but only before registration. Once registered, you will receive a booking code that will be linked to your email address and can no longer be transferred. The Voucher code cannot under any circumstances be sold, redeemed for cash or converted into a service other than that for which it is valid.

Can I add an additional adult guest to the hotel stay booked through my Voucher code?

Your Voucher code is valid to book a hotel stay for 2 people only in the UK, it’s not possible to book a hotel stay for additional adutls.

Only after booking your hotel stay with the Voucher Code received you can make a booking for additional guests. It is necessary to purchase the hotel stay for the additional guests separately with a credit/debit card, just following these simple steps below:

  • Go to the website www.lastminute.com, search for the same hotel stay booked using the Voucher Code (check that the dates, times and hotel correspond) and fill in the required information;
  • With just a few simple clicks you can add a guest to your stay
